Moshe and Mashiach

What is the relationship between the soul of Moshe and the soul of Mashiach?

The prayer of Moshe for Israel is on the level of the prayer of Mashiach.
Yehoshua taught that apart from him, and from doing what he says, his Torah teaching, it is not possible to apprehend his unity with the Father. In the same way, his unity with us is also a mystery.

We speak of him as the son of David.  We don't mean that it is only by his mother's marriage. The life force that came to her and through her also came from and through David. It is not possible to speak about the soul of Moshe and the soul of Mashiach without speaking about the soul of David.

"There is no king without a kingdom." as stated by Rebbe Nachman

There is no human nature without the human life force.

There is no speaking about the manifestation of the divine in the soul of Mashiach without speaking about this as the source of the divine spark of the soul of David and of Moshe.

Mashiach cannot be divorced from Israel, nor can the divine be divorced from the human in him.

Apart from this starting point, we cannot approach the study of the prayer of Yochanan 17.

The Veil

Mat 11:14-15 14 and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.

15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear. http://olivetree.com/b3/Mat.11.14.ESV -- as in hearing the seven thunders. http://7-thunders.blogspot.com/

For whoever hears that Yohanan is Elijahu returns to receive Yehoshua at the gate. -- after this, there is no new prophecy. And so when we go forward we return here.

G-d's Plan B

What was G-d's "Plan B"?

See:
http://thefirststartingpoint.blogspot.com/

Given that we are talking about creation, if we are to say that G-d's "Plan B"? was already there in His "Plan A", then was it a "plan B" in the usual sense? If we were to say that to claim Israel as His own, as distinct from the "plan A" Adam, was G-d's "Plan B", are we saying that in the beginning, G-d's creation of Adam rested upon the assurance that in creating the world out of nothing His guaranteed choice was Israel from the start?

May Your Name Be Known In All The Earth

Date: September 21, 2012 12:24 AM
Issue: John 17 file 1

Psalms 57:5
Be exalted above the heavens, O God;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
...that they may know that you alone, whose name is 'Yod-kay-Vav-kay', are the Most High over all the earth.  Psalms 83:18

John 16:33
If we are prophetically alone we are yet not alone - through this word of Yehoshua.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart, I have overcome the world.”

And by this word of HaShem’s Covenant Made Anew with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, with all the house of Israel, we shall be made one and be together. —> 17:21,22

17:1
After Yehoshua said these things...
—> 16:33 = 16:16

Overhear this prayer and it will bring to you the Comforter.

17:1
Father

This is the attribute of the manifestation of the Creator, G-d, of Beneficence, of Divine Wisdom, Chochmah, the level of perfect harmony between G-d and the Adam.  This harmony existed in the beginning.  The original relationship between the Creator and the creature was balanced on the point of the edge of the Divine Spirit, where its need of balancing was concealed in the body, the seed, prepared for the Mashiach hidden in the woman in the Adam.

For this reason the Adam was called the son of G-d (Luke 3  ) — for the Adam was in their origin in harmony with their Source, which is to say, with the Father.  This is the Truth of creation.  Yehoshua is the way of the Truth and the way to the Truth, which is eternal life with the Father.

[G-d as Father is not an abstraction of person or personality.  G-d as Father is the manifestation of the Creator in Shabbat shalom.

17:1
Glorify your son

Glorify the one son who brings all the Adam to relationship again with G-d as Father, so that they — as chosen in Mashiach — are son with him and in him.

17:1
that your son may glorify you
Yehoshua's prayer is to glorify the Father through his Malchut, his Kingdom, Redeemed Torah Israel, with all branches of the nations grafted into his Kingdom.

17:2
authority

The seed of the Woman, now come ensouled, being the son who, from the beginning made the Adam to be the son of G-d, is made to have authority over all people.  This is in accordance with the plan of redemption.  Thus we read, “All things were made in him, (Colossians   ).  — not reject some, choose others, but all are chosen only in him.

Psalm 8:1

O HaShem — 'Yod-kay-Vav-kay', our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth

John 7_21-24

Post #1 of the Series — Tributary Narratives To The John 17 Prayer —

Jesus/Yehoshua is here shepherding Israel toward understanding the covenant made anew.  See the following webpost as a comment on this:  http://cvvntnotes.blogspot.ca/2012/09/the-covenant-anew.html  In this way Jesus/Yehoshua draws the discourse toward Exodus 15:25-26, and what it means that G-d is the G-d who heals Israel.  He does this by raising the question of what the Sabbath Day, the day of eternal health, really is, and by healing on the Sabbath Day he brings this into the context of circumcision, the covenant itself, as being the healing of the Adam.

The mind naturally thinks Jesus/Yehoshua is interested in healing this person or that person, and he is, but he is really interested in healing Israel.  All Israel was hoping in the promise of G-d to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  They were hoping in Yehoshua but did not know the truth that was in their own hearts.  Because of their own understanding of the hope and fear they have been given, the sheep do not at first faultlessly follow the shepherd.  The shepherd must do almost all the work at first and be very patient with the hopeful, frightened sheep, drawing them carefully to him, however long it takes.
